OUR
STORY
NEVER DOUBT THAT A SMALL GROUP OF THOUGHTFUL, COMMITTED CITIZENS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD; INDEED, IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT EVER HAS.

Unslaved is a fundraising initiative to raise money for grass roots organizations that fight human slavery and gender injustice world wide. It was inspired by a book authored by Nicholas Kristof, and Sheryl WuDunn, called Half the Sky. This husband and wife duo, who also write for the New York Times, highlight the "capacity of ordinary citizens to initiate change." The book is a call to arms, a call to action, and it inspired me to create what you are seeing today. We have the power to make change in the world, and in doing so, empower ourselves.

Unslaved is not only about fighting for the human rights and freedoms of others, it's about the discovery of our own personal power to make change. In taking even the smallest actions towards a larger goal, we see that united, anything is possible.
We hope through small, continuous actions we can all participate in crafting something larger together. We hope to provide our community with a chance to contribute, vote, and vocalize, as we grow and develop new products, campaigns, and ideas.
Welcome to the Unslaved.
